In this article I’m going to show you why you need to build your own website and why the replicated sites should not be your first choice when trying to build any business including GDI. I’m also going to show you why having your own website could be the biggest asset you have on the Internet.

I used to think, “Create my own website” what for? Until I found out that getting your replicated sites indexed for any of the good keywords was next to impossible. The search engines primary goal is to give value to their visitors so having a bunch of replicated websites show up on the front page would not be of anybody’s best interest including yours.

Just think of what it would be like if you and a half million other people all had your replicated sites up on Google for the keyword phrase “home based internet business”. What would it be like for anybody searching that term?

I think they would be just a little disappointed, not to mention that getting anybody to join your business under those kinds of conditions would be less likely than winning the lottery

Having your own website has more benefits than just being indexed by the search engines. It helps build your credibility and can lead to you being the expert in your chosen niche. Not only that, but your website will be unique there will be no other sites out there like it.

It will help to build you, and in marketing a MLM you need to set yourself apart from everyone else or nobody will join under you.

Does having to create your own website intimidate you? Most people when first starting out with internet marketing think that to make your own website is way too hard. I have good news for you it doesn’t need to be intimidating or hard, and it isn’t when you approach it from the right direction.

1.    Know your target market – It takes more than just having a great product or an opportunity that is the next best thing to drinking margaritas on the beach of some tropical island paradise. The main focus of your website should be to solve problems that lead into your offers.

People don’t by products or opportunities they by solutions to their problems it is up to you to provide that solution when you create your web site.

2.    Next thing you need to choose a proper domain name. This is a very important step because it is what people are going to associate with what you are offering. You need to decide whether you want to use your own name or some other generic name or even something that fits into your business model.

Each choice has its advantages and disadvantages depending on what you want to achieve. As a network marketer or an affiliate marketer using your own name would be more beneficial in branding you as a leader.

3.    The last thing you need to do before you start to create your own web site is keyword research. This step is the most important of all the steps, but it does have a direct link to step one when you know your target market you have a good idea what they are searching for.

The trick is to find keywords phrases that are specific to what you are providing then build on that. There are many tools available to do keyword research some cost some don’t when first starting out getting a free version like freekeywords.wordtracker.com will do good.
