The first question is who do you plan on targeting with your web based email marketing? If you plan on purchasing leads then you might as well pack up your bags and move onto something different.

Sending emails to a purchased list is a great way to get yourself accused of spam, and get your internet access suspended by your isp. Targeted email marketing starts by generating your own high quality leads. Generating your own leads can be done with a variety of different methods. You can use PPC, article marketing, SEO tactics, video, blogging etc…

The methods you choose will be based on your personal preference and how much advertising budget you got. The main thing to remember is always give value to your target market if you want them to trust you enough to give you their contact information.

You will also need a way to capture those leads. This is usually done by offering something for free that would be of benefit to your visitors. An autoresponder service to send out your messages at predetermined intervals is another thing that an online marketer can’t do without.

With so much spam being sent now days an online marketer has to be extra careful when using web based email marketing. One of the things you can do is protect yourself, and purchase a service that knows all the email marketing laws.

An autoresponder service is readily available online for a small monthly fee. Not only does it protect you it keeps track of your list as you get new subscribers they start receiving your emails, and when people unsubscribe they are automatically removed from your list.

This leaves you free of the hassles of keeping track of who is on your list or who is not and lets you focus on the things that are really going to make the difference like your marketing.

As you start to build your list and have your targeted email marketing system setup you need to keep in mind that if you start promoting your business or product to heavily people will be turned off and unsubscribe right quick.

Keep your emails informative and filled with value to build trust before you start to promote. People are more likely to except the promotional emails if they are receiving more value filled emails than not. I find a good ratio is one promotional email to every 4 to 6 value filled ones. It is not a rule, but does seem to work well for me.

If you are having a problem building your GDI business approaching it from an attraction marketing angle might be just what you need. One of the biggest mistakes I see people make is trying to sell their opportunity when it is the last thing you should be focusing on.

That might sound strange to you. I know it did to me as well when I first learned this technique.

In this article I’m going to explain to you why your opportunity is the last thing you should focus on and what you should be focusing on in your attraction marketing campaign. I’m also going to show you how this will attract large numbers of people to your GDI business like a magnet.

Attraction marketing is setting yourself up online so people will see you as an asset and want to join in your business rather than just another salesman that is just the same as the half million other people online after your prospects time and attention.

I know that sounds like it would be a hard thing to do, but it’s not that difficult when you know who you want to target and what kind of problems they are facing. As an attraction marketer you want to become the go to guy for your niche in other words a solutions provider.

As a solutions provider you attract people to you because of the value you give, and people want to join your team because they know that you can help them be successful. On the other hand if all you are doing is pushing your business on them you offer no value at all.

Does that mean you need to know everything that there is to know about what problems your target group is having? Absolutely not all you need to know is a little more than your prospect. Something you can teach them that they can use right now.

You just need to have a desire to learn more so that you will always have something more to give.

By following this simple plan you will attract more people into your business because of the value they see in aligning themselves with someone that knows what do and can show them how to successfully apply the principals of attraction marketing into their business.
